Serena and Johnny (The Five Point Five Team) are on a mission to tell the stories of the people who make a difference. In 2012 we heard that there are over 1 million for good projects in the world and our mission was born.
Since then we have been travelling through Latin America, Australasia and now South East Asia capturing the stories of these for-good organisations, from the smallest grassroots projects through to global charities.
We have filmed in a huge variety of landscapes and situations including the slums of Colombia, in brothels in Nicaragua, the highlands of Peru and in prison in New Zealand.
We have worked with variety of projects including those that focus on animal conservation, women’s rights, community development projects and those providing education and/or lifesaving resources for people living in extreme poverty. We have laughed & cried, met inspiring change-makers and made lifelong friends.
We believe that each person can make a difference with our actions and that we each have a responsibility to look after our communities; the people, the animals and the environment.
This is the lifeblood of our work.
Our schedule is opportunistic as we are entirely self funded.
If your project is in the vicinity of the countries we visit we will do our best to come to you. If we are unable to get to you in the short term we will interview you for Five Point FIve by email and aim for our paths cross one day in the future.
If you can cover our costs to come to you, that makes things a whole lot easier! But it’s not a condition of our project :)
